Daughter of a minister and his wife, Kathy began singing and playing piano in church at a very young age.

After receiving her first guitar at the age of 12, she started writing and performing original material, and soon became a regular at coffee houses and college concerts.

Kathy has performed in clubs and lounges, locally as well as nationally, as a single, in duos, trios, rock bands and show groups.

In 1979, she studied voice and piano with Herb Buchanan Eidemiller (Dionne Warwick, Eydie Gorme, Teresa Brewer), and arranging from the Berklee School of Music.

Kathy's recordings include an album of original music "Girls Don't Play Rock and Roll,” an album of 11 contemporary Christian songs “He Touched Me" , and a self-produced collection of original soundtrack music, "Movie Pictures of the Mind" . On this CD, Kathy not only wrote all of the pieces, but also performed all of the instruments.
